This page is all about my journey as a musician!
Yes, music is in my blood. My grandfather (mother's father) Late Sangeetacharya Siddheswar Mukhopadhyay is an institution of music in himself and a close associate of Kazi Nazrul Islam who helped him in creating spellbound Nazrul songs and my uncle late Manabendra Mukhopadhyay were legendary singers of Bengal. My mother Krishna Majumdar is a renowned Nazrulgeeti and light classical vocalist.
I received my training in Hindustani Classical Music from Pt.Arun Bhaduri and Pt.Aloke Chattopadhyay and Light Classical Music training from Smt. Haimanti Shukla.
I am a graded artiste in Bhajan, Nazrul sangeet, Modern Bengali songs, Shyama sangeet of Akashvani & Doordarshan Kolkata. I regularly perform in Bangla Sangeet Mela and Nazrul Birth Centenary both organized by Govt. of West Bengal.
Recently I was invited to Benaras for rendering semi classical performance organized by Kalaprakash. I performed in Aaj sakaler Amontron a programme hosted by Tara Music. I have also performed in a special episode of Rojgere Ginni on Nazrul Islam hosted by E TV Bangla.
