Judy was taken to Lalit Aggarwal’s house in Jaipur where his Cielo car DL 1C F 59xx was parked. She immediately identified it to be the car in which Joan and she were driven to Delhi. The Investigating Officer seized the car. On a search of the house, useful documents connected with the case were recovered and seized.
When the joint team of Scotland Yard and CBI returned to Delhi, Judy identified Arpit Hotel in Karol Bagh, where they were held captive; the jewellery shops where they had been forcibly taken and robbed. The shopkeepers identified by her were arrested.
Judy gave a statement to a Judicial Magistrate as well. She agreed to keep in touch with the I.O. on e-mail and promised to return to testify in court once the trial began. Her determination to get justice, come what may, was awe-inspiring. The British Police officers escorting Judy, and Judy herself, felt reassured that the CBI team was responsive and professionally up to the task.
