Elections in the National Capital always is a matter of high octane, and with just 12 days to polls in Delhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have amped up the election campaign.
Senior BJP leaders said that senior party leaders and union ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal, Alka Gurjar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore and Kalpana Saini will campaign in the city on Tuesday i.e., May 14, 2024.
As per media sources, as reported by the IndianExpress that on Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address a rally in Northeast Delhi, where Manoj Tiwari is BJP's contestant and is going up against Congress's Kanhaiya Kumar.
Modi is also expected to hold another rally in the city next week.
Other senior BJP leaders, including national president J P Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh are also expected to hold rallies in the city. Singh's rally on Saturday, which was supposed to be held in Rohini, was cancelled.
AAP, meanwhile, for which the campaign gained a thrust with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal being released on interim bail, is expected to see more rallies and roadshows by him next week.
On Monday, AAP leaders Atishi, Gopal Rai and Dilip Pandey hit the ground in different parts of the city as part of AAP's campaign.
All seven seats in Delhi go to polls on May 25.
