The Greek Coast Guard announced that they were informed of the problem of a boat with 29 passengers in the south of the country on Monday night, and by sending the force, it rescued them from a marine accident. Among them were 18 Afghan children, who were transferred to the southern city of Kalamata after being rescued. .
It is said that this boat had left the coast of Turkey, somewhere near the city of Izmir, and was probably going to Italy.
Two of the passengers, both Iranians, were arrested on suspicion of human trafficking.
Greek authorities say anyone who is driving a boat carrying migrants is accused of smuggling and will be arrested.
