Such an engrossing series Sir. Looking to more such series from you.
“The Da Lakhvi Code” continues …….
The arrival of a simple, unemployed youth—Vivek Thakur—on the scene when all seemed lost was providential. We may call it an act of God or pure serendipity. This story in a way, tells us that sometimes people who would not warrant a second look are the people who truly matter.
ACP Pramod Kushwaha’s visit to Kashmir, his meeting with the BSF officer, the sharing of the contents of a dead terrorist’s diary between the two officers and the ability of Pramod to follow up on a stray email address were all strange but happy coincidences that cannot be understood and explained easily. There was possibly a higher force at work, determined to prevent mayhem at India Gate.
However, as a police officer, a regret lingers to date about this operation. It is that of not being able to apprehend any of the terrorists. I can console myself by thinking that perhaps this too was part of a larger design willed by the same higher force.
If a visitor to India Gate today is unable to approach the base of the war memorial for a closer look, she can curse us if she wants, now that I have let the cat out of the bag.
