2-1: Spain to play Croatia in the Nations League final

The national team beat Italy and will play the title match this Sunday (8:45pm CEST).

Carvajal, Nacho and Fran García are set to play in the Nations League final with Spain after defeating Italy in the semi-final at the De Groslch Veste stadium (2-1). None of the three Madrid players took part in the match, which was decided on the Spanish side in the final minutes. The national team will compete this Sunday for the title against Croatia, who qualified after a great game from Luka Modrić.

Spain took the lead in the 3rd minute through Yeremi Pino after the Italians lost the ball as they tried to bring it out. Shortly afterwards, Immobile equalised from the penalty spot. The score remained level until the 88th minute, when Joselu took advantage of a rebound in the penalty area to secure victory for Spain.
