Let me tell you a good news - You're halfway there!
You are around halfway through your pregnancy, perhaps a little bit more or less. The majority of women don't give birth precisely on their due date. Any day during the two weeks prior to or following is as likely to result in labor. So chill! Your doctor or midwife will now measure your belly from your pubic bone to the top of your uterus at each pregnancy appointment going forward. This measurement of "fundal height" demonstrates your baby's growth.
Let's talk about baby's development - Your baby is about the size of a banana 🍌. Omg, this lil one is growing so fast🥺. Baby hiccups in the womb are very normal, so don't be alarmed if you see any movements that resemble minute, rhythmic jerks. Baby has taste buds. Your baby is now able to consume food molecules that have traveled through your blood and into your amniotic fluid, and many of its taste receptors can now send taste signals to their brain.
Let's talk about symptoms / body changes - Your tummy is rounder than before since the top of your uterus is now roughly in line with your belly button. Your belly button may flatten or protrude as your uterus continues to press against your abdomen, changing your "innie" into a "outie." Many pregnant women claim that their belly button feels strange or uneasy. The area of your abdominal wall closest to your belly button is the thinnest, and as your belly expands, it might become more sensitive to touch. You will notice symptoms like - Hair and nails changes, restless nights, itchy skin, constipation, lower back pain etc.
Your To-do list is - You're at the halfway point in your pregnancy, so celebrate! How about a facial, prenatal massage, or pregnancy photoshoot. Look for a paediatrician, do a brain dump, experiment in bed and enjoy.
