It is such a heartwarming journey of love. Much needed amidst doom and gloom.
Your love story is beautiful ma'am❤❤
Around 20 years ago, a boy and a girl - two best friends happened to be in two different cities 850 Kms apart.
The girl had left without any address and promise to return soon. As days passed the boy got anxious, send email to all possible ids the girl could possibly have-yahoo, Hotmail and others-one fortunately landed and they connected again and how. Over emails, chats, and even occasional video calls, even pagers (operator assisted msging service, you had to first say I love u to the operator for it to reach the beloved). Anyways friendship turned into love and love ultimately led to marriage.
Fast forward now, about 17 years of marriage and two children later, the boy and girl-now man and woman in 40s are again living in two different cities, reliving the long distance and infact killing it.
After years romance is back in buisness.
With technology upped, distance seems to have compressed and spaces have shrunk. A drawing room cctv makes you sometimes scream for privacy. WhatsApp/FaceTimes calls.
“Wake me up early tomorrow “, help daughter in homework” or play a game of scrabble or even UNO together as family.
Technology makes you feel close. What are you wearing/eating/reading/watching on Netflix. Or even fights-on a daily basis. Yesterday husband even checked bp while the call was on, so that I don’t doubt the readings. From a good morning to a good night, technology makes u feel you are breathing in each others space. Even a quick video call showing “our “favourite spot or when your eating “our” favourite food.
Yes some days you do feel the need to hold hands, watch tv together, cuddle around on a sofa, warm your self in the same blanket, make the other person taste if food has turned out well. The yearnings will be there till technology is able to teleport us at will.
Yes technology aids love in so many wonderful ways, there however still are a lot of inbetweens from a goodnight to a goodmorning which are missed on a daily basis. Tell us your story, what u think
