Jadeja hit an unbeaten 45 in the pursuit of 188 on Friday, playing ODI cricket for the first time in nearly eight months owing to a knee injury and subsequent surgery.

An effective Rahul and a physically fit Jadeja will be a benefit as India hosts the ODI World Cup later this year, and the three-match series will allow the selectors to gauge the pair's development.

India would strive to secure a 2-0 series lead and make up for their mistakes with the bat, which left them in a precarious position at 4/39 and subsequently 5/83 until Rahul and Jadeja joined forces at the wicket to lead the hosts to win with 61 balls remaining.
