CONTRIBUTORS.
WILSON JOHN is a Senior Fellow and Vice President at the Centre for International Relations, Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi. He heads the Centre’s South Asia Studies Programme. A graduate of Delhi University, Mr. John covered defence and foreign policy for The Hindustan Times and The Pioneer before joining ORF as a scholar of South Asia and terrorism. His interests include the South Asian geopolitics, asymmetric warfare, Islamist extremism, and civil-militar y relations. He is recognised as one of the leading authorities on the militant group, Lashkar-e-Tayyeba. His latest book is The Caliphate’s Soliders: The Lashkar-e-Tayyeba’s Long War, ORF- Amarylis, 2011.
ARYAMAN BHATNAGAR is an Associate Fellow at the Centre for International Relations, ORF. His research focuses on political developments in Afghanistan and Pakistan and India’s policy towards these countries. He holds a Masters degree in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London and a Bachelors degree in History from Delhi University. He was previously a Research Officer with the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, New Delhi and Project Head at The YP Foundation for a cultural exchange programme with New Delhi-based Afghan students.
TARUNI KUMAR is a Research Assistant at the Centre for International Relations, ORF. Her research interests include West Asia and South Asian politics with specific emphasis on Israel and Pakistan, national and nuclear security, and terrorism. She holds a Masters in Politics (with specialisation in International Studies) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and a Bachelors degree in Psychology (Hons.) from Indraprastha College for Women, Delhi University.
ABHIJIT IYER-MITRA is a Programme Coordinator of the Centre for Strategic Studies, ORF. His main focus has been on the impact and dynamics of emergent technologies on militaries and doctrines, their absorbtion and what they mean for current production and supply chains as well as intra-military and intra- bureaucratic relations. Prior to joining ORF, he worked on nuclear security and soft power issues at the Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies, New Delhi. He holds a Masters degree in International Relations from Monash University, Melbourne.
