Youth Empowerment Support (YES) section of the Department of Home, CTA, began its fourteen-day Amazon Web Service (AWS) Cloud Computing Skills Training for a group of young Tibetan this morning at Administrative Training and Welfare Society in Dharamshala.
Secretary Palden Dhondup from the Home Department attended the workshop’s inaugural ceremony as chief guest, along with Additional Secretaries Jampa Phuntsok and Tenzin Norbu.
The Home Secretary emphasised trainees to uphold the distinct inherent features of Tibetan that are vulnerable to retain persistently due to the exile environment where Tibetans have to integrate with the host country’s way of life. He said, “After securing a job through examination that the workshop offers following its completion, one must always preserve the Tibetan nature of being harmony amongst the colleagues and be compassionate to them as His Holiness the Dalai Lama constantly advice.”
Furthermore, he implored participants not to squander the opportunity and derive maximum benefit from it, suggesting working online be incorporated into the schedule to improve work-life balance, given that the job opportunity provided after the workshop is based online.
The gathering was also addressed by Saransh Jain, the trainer for the workshop. He said “deep willingness” and “commitment” are the two key factors of doing something big in one’s life.
Before concluding the inaugural session, Additional Secretary Tenzin Norbu delivered a vote of thanks. The workshop was funded by Tibet Fund.
