4 The difference in pay 

Messi was being paid quite a lot during his career at Barcelona. 

As per the numbers provided by the report, he was said to have a net worth of £500,000 ($610k/€565k) a week. Before he had signed this deal, Messi was estimated to be on around £336,000 ($410k/€397k) a week.

But, when he started playing for PSG, which undeniably offered him more money, he felt more drawn to that aspect of the club. Net annual pay, including bonuses, is $41 million. A third-year option is also included in the contract. 

It is quite a possibility that Messi might return to Barcelona in July 2023 but what if he agrees to agree to his contract? 

5 Barcelona has better stats than PSG 

As a club too, Messi is better off in Barcelona. 

There are several facts to back up this statement. Firstly, the 1v1 index of Barcelona is 97 as compared to PSG which has a 1v1 index of 94. The number of passes made, the duration of ball possession by the team, and the number of goals conceded is a few more dimensions in which Barcelona is far better than PSG. 

But, Barca has a total of 43 goals in La Liga but PSG has a total of 55 goals. Probably, the only aspect which might make PSG look better for Messi at the moment. The rest are definitely indicative of the fact that Messi is synonymous with Barcelona and that he must ascertain his return FC Barcelona.
