“The Da Lakhvi Code” continues……
To get back to our story and the alarming emails we had chanced upon, another commonality was seen in the content of the emails being exchanged. The emails were made to appear as if they were love letters in English. The actual communication between the sender and the receiver, written in Roman Hindustani, was hidden in the midst of the mail. For instance, an email dated 11 February from rashid32XXXX@hotmail. com to stupaXX@hotmail.com read:
My darling I am coming to you soon. Please wait for me. It will not be long before we get married. You will come to me and I will come to you in your arms. Please take me and keep me forever. Dear brother Muzammil, salam wale kum, aapka message mila. Main us aadmi se mil loonga. Uska number abhi switch off hai. Thodi der me phir try karta hoon. Kaam ke baad aapko message bhejta hoon, Aapka bhai [I have received your message. I shall meet that man. His phone is currently switched off. I shall try again after some time. After completing the task I shall inform you, your brother.] Thank you so much for the work. I am very happy that we are together and that we will stay together for the rest of our life. Nobody can separate us and we are one for all time.
(The English translation of the actual message written in Hindustani is within brackets.)
