I included this picture for a specific reason. Right now we’re in a bit of a period that we’ve got to dig deep and get through. Jesus, Nketiah & Trossard are all injury doubts for today and Fulham away is by no means a given fixture. With 3 more games until the international break I really think we need to get through these ‘cup finals’ and then reset again post break with some time to reflect tactically and a rest physically for a good few of our players.

I cannot emphasise enough the impact Jesus will have on this team if he is able to return to his pre-World Cup form. No he’s not the most clinical finisher but he’s a player that creates so many chances for himself and others which more than makes up for that fact. I don’t expect him to be fully involved in any game prior to the break but once the squad gets back we could be looking at everyone available which is an exciting prospect. Given that Europa League has now returned we need to use the full squad more than ever and Nketiah has proved himself a more than able deputy.

So, like I said, win the game by any means. Title winners get through these moments and I’d like us to show that we’ve got what it takes. Ideally before the 90+7th minute too.
