We recently visited a beer bar in Odisha. It's not your regular bar with bright lights, loud music, and fancy bartending. This one was a small bar run by adivasi or tribal women. We not only made rice beer, and Mahua wine with them, but also realised how special these bars are. It's not only run by women, it is also a safe space for women to come in and have a drink.

In a country where women are held to much higher moral standards than men, it was refreshing to see the freedom that the tribal society gives to everyone.
