A new Champions League record for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have now won eight consecutive away group stage games in the UEFA Champions League, a record. Their 3-1 win against Galatasaray at Istanbul also takes them to 16 consecutive Champions League group stage wins.

The Bavarian giants overcame an admirable Galatasaray performance to take home the three points, with late goals from talismans Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala.

Galatasaray had been the better team till half-time, with an alarming 16 shots compared to Bayern's meagre three at the 45-minute mark. Mauro Icardi scored from the spot to equalize after Kingsley Coman's opener, keeping the scores level at half-time.

Bayern put one virtual step into the knockouts with the win. Meanwhile, Galatasaray's loss gives Manchester United a chance to close the gap after losing the first two games.
