A superb bowling effort combined with Shreyas Iyer's gritty batting helped India beat Australia by six runs in the fifth and final T20I against Australia in Bengaluru.

India, who were asked to bat first, piled 160/8 in 20 overs and Australia could only manage 154/8 in response.

Team India vice captain Shreyas Iyer slammed a magnificent half-century to take India towards a fightable score of 160/8 after 20 overs. India struggled against the sharp Australian bowling and lost wickets regularly with only Shreyas Iyer and Axar Patel managing to put some runs on the scoreboard.

Team India is in a sensitive position as the wickets are falling in quick succession with Australian pacers dismissing Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession.
