HEAL Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation registered under the Indian Trust Act. As a trust, we aim to engage key stakeholders of the healthcare industry in India. Fundamentally, HEAL (Health Education & Awareness League) is a social advocacy group that strives to establish synergy and facilitate meaningful communication amongst social scientists, developmental agencies, health communicators, research scientists, doctors, and policy-makers. It aims to raise public awareness of health issues to bring desirable behavioural changes in the masses to ensure healthy living. Precisely, HEAL Foundation is synonymous with Healthcare Communication.

HEAL Foundation Conceptualised Coffee Table Book on 75 Health Changemakers in India since Independence

HEAL Foundation take this pride in commemorating 75 healthcare changemakers in India since independence by profiling them in a ‘Coffee Table Book’, highlighting their path-breaking accomplishments. This is the first-of-its-kind ‘Coffee Table Book’ that covers the key changemakers from different shades of the healthcare ecosystem in its maiden edition of the series of healthcare changemakers incredibly.

HEAL Foundation has innovatively produced a unique, informative and insightful ‘Coffee Table Book’ on 75 Healthcare Changemakers in India Since Independence. The niche edition of this ‘Coffee Table Book (CTB)’ has profiled the doyens who laid the foundation to build the healthcare infrastructure in the country. It includes the first Union Health Minister of independent India, legendary physician Dr B C Roy, the modern-day specialist physicians, surgeons, healthcare entrepreneurs, and founders of pharma companies and chains of hospitals. Philanthropist medicos and public health experts have also got their places in the CTB.

The CTB turns out to be a compendium of India’s top 75 Healthcare Changemakers, who have led the change and impacted the lives of millions of Indians with their exemplary contributions to the respective areas of their expertise! This is the maiden edition of the series of healthcare changemakers, wherein changemakers from all the spectrums of healthcare have been profiled. Moreover, HEAL Foundation has all set to bring in a series of CTBs on specialist healthcare changemakers.
