Model-actor Celina Jaitly expressed gratitude to the National Commission Of Women (NCW) in India for taking up her complaint against a Pakistani journalist, Umair Sandhu.

Sandhu allegedly harassed her and made false claims about her having physical relations with Feroz Khan and Fardeen Khan.

The NCW chief, Rekha Sharma, assured Celina of support, stating, "Every Indian is with you."

Celina raised the matter with the Pakistan High Commission, seeking immediate investigation and action.

In response to the harassment, Celina took to Twitter, gaining immense support from her fans, colleagues, and even Pakistani nationals appalled by Sandhu's behavior.

The NCW acknowledged Celina's complaint and contacted the Ministry of External Affairs to take necessary action.

The Ministry viewed the incident seriously and raised it with the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

Celina, an Indian army war hero's daughter, considers the fight not just for her character but also for her integrity, motherhood, family, and the memory of her mentor, Feroz Khan.

She expressed pride in being an Indian woman, grateful to the government for upholding her dignity.
