The Afghan Freedom Front has condemned the explosive attack on a sports club in Dasht-e Barchi, Kabul.
The front stated that the planning and execution of this attack and the recent explosion at the Imam Zaman mosque in Pol-e-Charkhi were carried out by a group of "domestic and foreign terrorists directly funded, equipped, and supported by the Haqqani network."
On the Thursday evening , an explosion occurred at the "Mellat" sports club in Dasht-e-Barchi, Kabul. At least six people were killed, and ten others were injured in the incident.
Following the event, the Taliban announced the initial casualties as two dead and nine injured.
In a statement released on Friday, the Afghan Freedom Front wrote that the primary targets of these attacks are the Hazaras and Shia communities in Afghanistan.
The statement mentioned that the targeting of the Hazaras and Shias is aimed at "justifying the role of the seemingly restraining Emirate of the Taliban against ISIS and garnering the support of extremist takfiri groups beyond the borders of Afghanistan, who do not see the cultural, religious, and social diversity of this country as compatible with their strategic interests in the region."
The Front opposing the Taliban emphasized that "the Taliban and terrorist groups are complicit with each other and in continuation of their chain of heinous crimes have brought some innocent and defenseless citizens to the dust and blood."
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for this explosion.
