Zabihullah Shahzad, a 32-year-old athlete and sports reporter from Afghanistan, who has won the championship and runner-up in Kabul Taekwondo competitions and is a member of the national team, wrote on his Facebook page after winning the gold medal at the World Taekwondo Festival: "Competing in this festival was a dream for me. I'm happy that I tried my luck with the best in the world and won a medal."
He further wrote: "Achieving this medal has been brought to Afghanistan after nineteen years, and I present it to the noble people of Afghanistan."
