Afghanistan 2 - Mozambique 2; Afghanistan's national futsal team climbed to the top of the table of the Continental Cup.
Yesterday, Afghanistan's national futsal team played against Mozambique in the Intercontinental Cup. The first half of this match ended in a 1-1 tie, in the second half, both teams scored another goal and the match ended 2-2, and Afghanistan climbed to the top of the second group table with 2 points.
Yesterday, the "Bangkok Arena" stadium hosted the match between Afghanistan and Mozambique futsal teams. In this match, first Mehran Gholami gave Afghanistan a 1-0 lead in the first half, then the Mozambican players tied the game from a restart kick and this half ended 1-1.
In the second half, on an attack by the Mozambique team, Hossein Hassanzadeh mistakenly opened the own goal to make the match 2-1 in favor of the African representative. In the following, the Afghan players scored the second goal by Ali Amiri with a free kick from the corner of the opponent's penalty area to tie the game once again.
In the following, the two teams did not take any risks and despite trying to score, they did not use the "power play" system to divide the points of this match between the teams. At the end of the match, Ali Amiri from Afghanistan was chosen as the best player on the field.
With this draw, Afghanistan now temporarily climbs to the top of the second group table with two draws and two points. The assignment of the two teams advancing to the semifinals will be determined after today's match between the teams of the Czech Republic and Mozambique.
