Looks absolutely mouth-watering 🤤
Eid tables are set for each guest during each of the three days of the Eid holiday. But these tablecloths are decorated differently in Afghani culture. The people of Afghanistan, which are composed of different ethnic groups, have different customs and traditions these days, and each class celebrates Eid according to their economic potential, culture and traditions.
Those who live in the city, decorate most of their tables with a variety of cakes, cookies, chocolates, various sweets and dried fruits such as pistachios, almonds, raisins, Sinjid, chickpeas and simian, and receive their guests. Some also prepare seasonal fruits.
Meanwhile, the lower social classes of the society are not able to prepare the Eid table, but they do not want to deprive other people of their guests. Even by borrowing, they try to spread a simple tablecloth and entertain their guests with only plain cookies, peas and raisins.
