Afghanistan national futsal team will leave for Thailand in a few days to participate in the Intercontinental Cup after being runner-up in the Central Asian Futsal Tournament. This tournament will be held in two groups with the participation of teams from Thailand, Czech Republic, Solomon Islands, Myanmar, Mozambique and Afghanistan.

The Afghanistan national futsal team is in the second group of this tournament with the teams of the Czech Republic and Mozambique. The teams of Thailand, Solomon Islands and Myanmar are present in the first group.

The tournament will start in Thailand in six days, on Monday, August 7, and Afghanistan will face the Czech Republic in the first match. The Czech Republic is ranked 21st in the latest world futsal rankings and ranks 14th in Europe. Afghanistan is also ranked 66th in the world and 14th in Asia.

On the first day of this competition, another match will be played between the teams of Thailand and Myanmar from the first group. Two teams that have different conditions in terms of ranking. Thailand ranks 25th in the world and third in Asia. While Myanmar, another Asian team, ranks 84th in the world and 20th in Asia.

Afghanistan's second match is on Tuesday August 8 against Mozambique. Mozambique is the representative of futsal on the African continent and is 74th in the world and 5th in Africa.

The other two matches of this tournament will be played on August 9, when Mozambique will play the Czech Republic and Thailand will play the Solomon Islands.

The problem is that Afghanistan has two back-to-back games on the 7th and 8th of August. But the Czech and Mozambique teams, who are in the group with Afghanistan, play every other day and this can affect the results.

The teams that finish first and second in the groups will advance to the semi-finals, and the third teams of both groups will compete for fifth and sixth place.

After these matches, the Afghanistan national futsal team will go to the preliminary games of the Asian Cup of Futsal.
