After a year since the fall of Kabul, the situation in Afghanistan has deteriorated far beyond what the Taliban predicted at the start of their rule. After seizing control of Afghanistan, the Taliban group repeatedly promised to restore peace, stability, and security to a country that had been at war for decades. But there is no news of peace, security, or stability in Afghanistan right now. During the past year, the Taliban has demonstrated its inability to address Afghanistan's economic, security, and political crises. During this time, the Taliban government has been unable to establish friendly relations with any of its neighbours, and no country in the world has yet recognised the Taliban government.
The country's economic crisis and human rights situation has deteriorated significantly since the Taliban's rule.
