After Hamas, Israel has also killed the head of Hezbollah. On Friday, the Israeli army targeted Hezbollah's headquarters in Lebanon, killing Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. In recent days, Israel has intensified attacks in Lebanon. On September 23, the Israeli army bombed more than 1,000 places, killing more than 500 people and injuring thousands. This proved to be the deadliest day in the country since the civil war ended in 1990. Air strikes continued in the following days as well. In retaliation, Hezbollah fired hundreds of missiles, rockets and drones at Israel.
Meanwhile, tensions between Israel and Hezbollah have increased again after Nasrallah's death. Israel and Hamas are already fighting a war. This conflict is taking place at a time when leaders from around the world are participating in the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York. They fear that the conflict could escalate further and that countries like Iran, which supports Hezbollah, could also get involved in it.
