The caretaker of the dog who came with him to the tribute program told that 11 years ago the industrialist went to Goa for a picnic. During this time Ratan Tata adopted a stray dog. Hence the dog was named Goa. Ratan Tata loved dogs very much. 'Goa' was Ratan Tata's favorite dog. Who often used to go with him to meetings. Stray dogs were allowed to come and enter freely in Bombay House. Apart from this, Ratan Tata had also issued instructions to Taj Hotel in Mumbai that stray animals would be allowed to come in the hotel premises. Recently on July 1, he started a special pet hospital.
