As many as 12 vehicles collided with each other due to the dense fog and very low visibility on the Yamuna Expressway in Greater Noida early on Wednesday.

According to the police, the incident occurred near Dayanatpur village under Jewar police station limits in Gautam Buddha Nagar.

'There is no casualty in the incident. Nobody has received serious injuries. Some people had minor injuries and they have been given first aid. Around a dozen vehicles are damaged, we are clearing the road, there is no traffic congestion on the expressway,' said an official.

Eyewitnesses told the police that a vehicle suddenly applied the brakes and those behind it collided one after the other.

Videos of damaged vehicles from the accident site have gone viral on social media.
