From the release of the Kashmir files to it becoming the highest-grossing film and then earning multiple awards, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri's movie has left some indelible marks on everyone who has watched it.

Now, it has won the best film award at the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2023.

Later after the win, Vivek took to Twitter to share this big news, He wrote, “#TheKashmirFiles wins the ‘Best Film’ award at #DadaSahebPhalkeAwards2023. This award is dedicated to all the victims of terrorism and all the people of India for your blessings."

The film had to endure countless controversies and it addressed the sensitive issue of Kashmir. But despite all of it and amidst all the chaos it did touch millions of hearts.

The Kashmir Files’ narrated the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the valley during the early 1990s. The film starred Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Joshi, among others.
