I screenshotted this almost a few months ago while playing Genshin. Its so ironical that if I hadn't taken a few dramatic shifts in my life I would still be playing this silly game non-stop for hours without any worries that its affecting my goals and my future.

I'm not advocating that all video games are bad, but games like these which rely on daily login so as to keep their players hooked as much as possible is what makes me so frustrated with them. One might argue that to simply play when one might please instead of playing daily. But the game (a product of our capitalist system) requires that to win a character (rather win in betting a character) one must have a certain amount of gems - and mind you this game releases like 2 new characters almost every month- a player cannot have even 1 character every alternate month if they dont end up buying the in-game currency called 'primogems'.

That is not all, the regular player base has quite often complained of mediocre characters with trash kits and often no diversity in their skin tones (how is it possible for 90% of all characters from a region based on India and West Asia to be pale white?)

Such frustrations lead many players to drop the game for long periods like me who are tired from the burnout of playing the game daily often to just have a better chance of winning a set of pixels- or losing and a getting a worse set !
