Cheetah reintroduction programme has seen a constant failure.
Since the beginning of the programme there have been several deaths and again the death of cheetah cub has raised questions over the scheme.
A cheetah cub born to Namibian Cheetah Jwala in Kuno National Park, Madhya Pradesh, has died, marking the fourth cheetah fatality among those translocated from African countries to the park in the past two months.
The cause of death appears to be weakness, as the cub was found motionless while the other three cubs were active with their mother.
Despite efforts by veterinarians, the cub did not survive.
The forest department noted that the cub had shown signs of frailty since birth.
This latest death adds to the conservation challenges faced in the reintroduction of cheetahs to Kuno National Park.
