ANXIETY DISORDERS - Taking a closer look;

1 PHOBIAS - A phobia is an extreme and irrational fear of something, such as spiders, or tight spaces. This fear can cause extreme discomfort and get in the way of normal functioning until the perceived threat is gone.

2 GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER (GAD) - GAD is an anxiety disorder characterized by free floating anxiety, which usually lasts for more than 6 months. It can be accompanied by trouble sleeping, restlessness, muscular pain, and irritability.

3 SOCIAL ANXIETY DISORDER - This disorder presents as intense anxiety when in social situations, which often intensifies when the person feels they are being watched or judged by people.

Proper treatment cannot be given without discovering what's causing the disorder - genes, trauma, physiological dysfunctions, or a host of other reasons.
