The number of people working out from home increased during the pandemic. Just like we had to work from home because offices had to be closed, even gyms and fitness centers had to do the same and hence people including me had to find alternatives to stay fit and get a daily dose of exercise in.
Fitness is discipline to me and people who master their own fitness are capable of doing anything. I am not that disciplined when it comes to my fitness and hence have tried various apps to see what would motivate me the most to maintain a routine. Here are some that I tried and actually enjoyed during the pandemic -
Nike Run Club - This is an app by Nike that helps runners or even beginners enjoy the process of going for a run. It includes guided runs with Nike coaches to get you started and was very motivational to keep going for a while.
Nike Training Club - Nike also has an app for indoor exercises that consists of plans that you can do at home with or without equipment. These workouts also helped feel stronger and get into a routine for free.
Chloe Ting - Chloe blew up because of her ab exercise routines on the internet. I am not sure if you can achieve the same body as hers but these routines are hard and are very well curated.
StepSetGo - This is an homegrown app that rewards you based on the number of steps you take in a day. It helps if you are a 10,000 steps kind of person that monitors the steps you take and enjoy getting discounts and deals on brands.
I clearly have experimented with my fitness mainly to keep it interesting and push myself to do better. Something that works for me may not work for you so find your flow and put your energy into it!
