Arsenal returns to the summit of the Premier League standings after a late dramatic comeback at Aston Villa earned them a remarkable 4-2 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Villa Park.

It was a cagey encounter between both side as they entertained spectators with an end to end encounter. Aston Villa took the lead early into the game courtesy of an Ollie Watkins five minutes’ goal. Bukayo Saka responded for the visitors 10 minutes later.

Phillipe Coutinho restored Villa’s lead on the half hour mark before Oleksandr Zinchenko’s 60th minute strike put the Gunner’s back into the game.

A shambolic piece of goalkeeping by Emiliano Martinez cost the host as the keeper put the ball into his own net in injury time. This preceded Gabriel Martinelli’s last-ditch effort in the game to secure a crucial 4-2 victory for Arsenal.
