The games continue to come thick and fast; just days after demolishing Everton 4-0, we’re back in action tomorrow against Bournemouth. Another chance to gain three points in a game we should be winning, here’s my brief thoughts ahead of the fixture…
After picking up just 1 point from a possible 9 in our February ‘slump’, Arsenal have returned to their best – winning all of their last 3 games, scoring 9 goals and conceding just 3.
19th place AFC Bournemouth appears to be an appealing fixture for the Gooners, with a run of ‘winnable’ games lying ahead in the Premier League. The Cherries have had a tough run since promotion last season, winning just 1 of their last 10 Premier League games.
Arsenal’s line-up picks itself. I’d maintain the same team that started against Everton: Ramsdale; White, Saliba, Gabriel. Zinchenko: Jorginho, Xhaka, Odegaard: Saka, Trossard, Martinelli.
I’m a big fan of Eddie Nketiah, but Trossard is simply undroppable right now. The introduction of Trossard has had a direct correlation with the resurgence of Gabriel Martinelli – and the fluidity between left wing and centre forward has been remarkable.
All being said, this *should* be a comfortable win for the Arsenal, even though it is away from home. Prediction: 0-3 W. Saka, Gabriel and Trossard to score.
