1 Rubbing the retinol - You only need to spread it to form a uniform layer. No need to massage it into the skin.
2 Applying in corners of nose, eyes and mouth - Al aha protect these areas with petroleum jelly to avoid irritation and flaking.
3 Applying it on damp skin - Retinol should always be applied in clean dry skin. If applied on damp skin, changes of irritation and redness increases.
4 Applying it on dry irritated skin - Make sure your skin is in a good condition when you start using a retinol. If you have dry irritated itchy or red skin, first treat that. Once the skin is normal, then add a retinol.
5 Applying it with other irritating ingredients - Retinol should not be used with the following products;
• benzoyl peroxide glycolic acid
• salicylic acid
• Vitamin C
