Bad weather halts Tuffman Shimla Ultra & Half Marathon Mashobra run
Update from the organizing team - Following are the pointers from the race course review.
1) The route has rolling / shooting stones almost everywhere, present in pebbles and big stones too at various places. Rolling stone, making it super hazardous.
2) The trails while decline are super slippery. Not recommended to run on at all. One can easily fall once they start to run (even walk at times) on the decline.
3) Rain isn’t managing to stop at all. It’s going from drizzling to heavy raining in between span of moments. Intermittent rain is there which may again go bad as per the latest weather forecast.
4) In forest covers, lightening is most dangerous hazard, so we can’t risk it anyway.
5) Visibility is an issue at various places making it risky again for everyone.
6) Again, as hills are always fragile, it is not conducive to run at this terrain in this weather.
7) Unavailability of the medical support as they have denied their support due to this weather.
We are still trying to make it happen as this bad weather allows, requesting everyone to be patient.
