Lady Whistledown has graced us with news of the highly anticipated arrival of Bridgerton Season 3!
With the debut of new season there surely are many new characters also being introduced, though this season offers blossoming romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). Their journey from friends to lovers promises to be a steamy slow burn, keeping viewers glued to their screens.
Interestingly, This season, we are introduced to British-Indian actress Banita Sandhu, captivating audiences in the role of Miss Malhotra.
As a potential diamond of the season, Miss Malhotra is poised to stir the pot amongst the eligible bachelors, and perhaps even challenge the established social order. The introduction of Miss Malhotra in the first episode injects a dose of intrigue. Will she challenge the established social hierarchy? Could she be a potential match for one of the Bridgerton brothers, or perhaps another eligible bachelor? Only time, and Lady Whistledown's scathing wit, will tell.
Banita Sandhu may be a new face to Bridgerton audiences, but she's already making waves in the entertainment industry. Born to Indian parents in Wales, Sandhu began her acting career at a young age, appearing in local stage and film productions. Her dedication led her to land her first agent at the tender age of 11. Sandhu's professional acting career began while she was still a student at King's College London. Her breakout role came in the 2018 Hindi-language film October, where she starred opposite Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan. The critically acclaimed film earned Sandhu recognition as a rising star and established her as an actress to watch.
Undeterred by the boundaries of language or genre, Sandhu has actively pursued projects that showcase her versatility. She transitioned to American television with a role in The CW's sci-fi series Pandora in 2019. The same year, she returned to India to star in the Tamil-language production Adithya Varma.
While the first half of season 3 is available now, fans will have to wait until June 13th to indulge in the remaining four episodes.
