Bayern Munich's honorary president, Uli Hoeness, has claimed that Harry Kane has made it clear that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur and join the German club.
Reports suggest that Bayern has already submitted a formal bid for the England captain, and Hoeness believes that Tottenham will eventually be forced to sell Kane if he sticks to his decision.
Kane's desire to play in European competitions is a key factor, and since Tottenham won't be participating in Europe next season, it opens up an opportunity for him to move to a top club like Bayern Munich.
While Kane is currently on Tottenham's pre-season tour in Australia, the club's new boss, Ange Postecoglu, stated that he hasn't received any assurances about the striker's future. However, he emphasised that Kane is an important part of the squad and that he wants him involved.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy and Bayern's chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen reportedly had a meeting in London, but the specifics of the discussions remain undisclosed. Kane's contract with Tottenham is in its final year, adding more uncertainty to his future.
Hoeness praised Levy for being a savvy negotiator but stated that they need to get him to name a number before proceeding further. While there might be complexities in the negotiations, Bayern remains keen on acquiring the services of one of the world's top strikers.
