On World Children’s Day, the Belgian Parliament issued a statement condemning China's forced assimilation policy affecting one million Tibetan children. President Ms Els Van Hoof calls the practice a violation of international human rights, expressing concern about insufficient attention in Europe. The statement urges action to prevent the loss of a generation within the Chinese system.

It also condemns China for sophisticated surveillance in Tibet and calls on PRC authorities to end coercion, assimilation policies, and comply with international law obligations. The Belgian Parliament strongly condemns these actions.
