Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale, will be released on Netflix tomorrow. Looks like it goes beyond the expected bang with Nayanthara-Dhanush open-letter romance broke out on social media. I am sure, the Lady Superstar must have earned a handsome amount from the OTT Giant for this project as it has a definite pan-India audience. Dhanush’s claim of Rs 10 Cr over a three-second behind-the-scenes video from the sets of NRD (Naanum Rowdy Dhaan) is not justifiable. But then, being front-seaters, we barely know other scenes behind this release. Whether permission was given or needed, what’s their current comradery…so on. Any new show can go places with such publicity stunts just before release. Nope. I am not slamming Nayanthara, Dhanush, or the open letter. Just stating a new-age media reality since the matter could have been private otherwise. Isn’t a producer-director-actor in-house thing? In the next video out for rasigars, Nayanthara is sad and apologetic about her performance making producer Dhanush unhappy. As someone watched NRD, I would say, she wasn’t that bad in that experimental role. Meanwhile, Vignesh Shivan, director, NRD and husband of Nayanthara is in a mocking mood against Dhanush. What’s the real issue 'Ilaiya Super Star'? Why such a character-killing note from a co-star? Is your ‘spread love speech a mask? Media archives hate their closet life. More may surface.

Anyway, I am waiting for Lady Super Star’s unknown sagas. The trailer feels desi. Shouldn’t it be international? I am also slightly confused about this hanging term Lady Superstar in South Indian filmdom since Manju Warrier is awarded the same title. If a documentary comes on MW, the scriptwriter will have a rough time justifying her second innings earned this title. What you think of version control -Lady Superstar 1, Lady Superstar 2… to clear the sky?
