Late Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy , Roy was an eminent Indian physician, educationist,
Philanthropist, freedom fighter and politician who served as the Chief minister of
West Bengal from 1948 until he died in 1962. He made several significant contributions to
the communitv throughout his life. Some of the most noteworthy efforts were in the medical field which led to considerable advancements in the way healthcare facilities were offered.
