Coming back to the fore after a brief hiatus from the public eye, Ranbir Kapoor shed some light on his relationship with Shamshera co-star Sanjay Dutt

Speaking to the press at the trailer launch for Shamshera, Ranbir and Sanjay were sharing tidbits about their bond, when the former revealed that he used to frequent Dutt’s gym for nearly two years. At that time, Ranbir was working on Barfi and Rockstar, which required him to have a simple physique, nothing exaggerated.

However, the senior actor would often launch ‘funny’ jibes at his junior.

Recalling the incident, Ranbir shared, "Jab mai Barfi aur Rockstar karraha tha I used to work out in his gym. So everyday he used to come down to the gym and say, 'Yaar do saal se tu gym aaraha hai, teri body kaha hai?'And he used to keep saying, 'Ab tu Barfi karrahai hai, teri next film kya hogi? Pedha ya Laddu?"

Thankfully RK took these comments in good spirit, in fact, he spoke about his experience working with his favourite hero.

Speaking of Sanjay Dutt, he said, “ "This man standing next to me has been my first idol, my first hero. I had a post of him once in my room. And I got to know him, he's been a family friend. Then, I got to act as him, I got to portray his life and finally, I got to fight with him as my nemesis. The journey has just been unbelievable because he treats me like a son, like a friend and a brother. He calls me, he shouts at me if I am not doing anything good if I am doing bad."
