Books are said to be our best friends. "A good book is like a good friend. It will stay with you for the rest of your life. When you first get to know it, it will give you excitement and adventure, and years later it will provide you with comfort and familiarity." This quote by Charlie Lovett aptly describes the long term relationship between a person and a book. 📚
"They don't judge us, they don't hurt our feelings, they can give the best solution to our problems which no one can give us. In the company of a book, we can't feel alone."
All these lines describe why people love books.
But what about those who are not readers? Or those who even after trying multiple times are unable to concentrate and finish a book?
Writing this reminds me of a line my teacher said to me one day. She's herself a book lover and was telling me and my friend to read books. She said its never about finishing a book. People think if I have started this book, I have to finish it. But it shouldn't go like that. That way you won't be able to read a lot and remain stuck. So read however much you can, and then think about it. Discuss it with people. Get to know their ideas about the topic. You'll see a lot of diverse thoughts arising from different people from even a small section of a book. That's the power of a book.
So even if you're not an avid reader, which I myself am not, just never underestimate the power of a good book. And never give up on reading! 📘❤️
