A shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh's Karaundi village has thrust Dashmat Rawat into the spotlight.

A video emerged on July 4, showing Pravesh Shukla urinating on Rawat, a member of the Kol tribe.

Since then, the village has become a hub of activity. Revenue officials supervise house construction, police closely monitor visitors, and politicians flock to Rawat's residence.

The incident has ignited a political firestorm, with the Congress party attempting to sway Kol tribe voters in the Vindhya Pradesh region away from the BJP.

They allege that Shukla, the perpetrator, has ties to Sidhi MLA Kedarnath Shukla, a charge the legislator denies.

In an effort to mitigate the situation, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan met with Rawat, publicly apologized, and even washed his feet.
