Niacinamide is a fantastic component for minimising enlarged pores, improving sallow skin, enhancing barrier function, and minimising wrinkles.
Strong antioxidant vitamin C reduces the appearance of ageing, brightens the skin, and shields it from environmental harm.
We are discussing two of the best and most well studied components for skincare.
Because they work better together, these two should be used together. It is a myth that they cannot be used in the same product or even in two different items one after the other.
For vitamin C to penetrate the skin, there must be a low (acidic) pH.
When the pH is near to 6, niacinamide is most effective.
Ascorbic acid and niacinamide should not therefore be present in the same product.
Despite not being created to maximise the great capabilities of both ingredients, the product will nonetheless work fine.
A different situation arises when niacinamide is combined with a vitamin C derivative, such as sodium ascorbyl phosphate. These two can both be employed in the same product because they both function well at pH 6.
If they did react together, everytime you used niacinamide on your skin, you'd experience an allergic reaction considering Vitamin C is naturally found in your skin. So yeah, go for it! Another ingredient niacinamide works great with is Retinol!
