Although the G20 Summit was all about bilateral talks and greater cooperation and coordination between countries, but there seems to be rising tension between India and Canada.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his deep concern about the ongoing "anti-India activities" being carried out by "extremist elements" in Canada.
And there could not be progress in India-Canada ties without trust and mutual respect.
However, while PM Modi sought cooperation from Trudeau in reining in pro-Khalistan elements, the Canadian PM later told the media that his country would always defend freedom of expression, freedom of conscience and freedom of peaceful protest, while acting against hatred, and that he raised the issue of "foreign interference" with PM Modi.
Trudeau's office said he raised the importance of respecting the rule of law, democratic principles and national sovereignty in the meeting with PM Modi. Trudeau's government had accused India in the past of interfering in affairs related to the large Sikh population there, even drawing comparisons with China & Russia.
The Indian Media is calling out Trudeau for his statements he made during India's G20 Summit, and just not India many other people across the world are condemning Trudeau's statements and saying he's a perfect example if Single Liberal Wokeisn and is destroying a certain section of the West.
Apparently in the name of Freedom if Expression, Trudeau doesn't understand the difference between a peaceful protest and a civil unrest or an uncivil unrest with a placard of a terrorist.
