Now that we are in the final part, how can I not mention “Doraemon”? Obviously, it was and still is my favourite. So, I saved it for the last. I still watch it when I’m at home. I started watching it when I was in std 3. Since then, it is stuck with me. I remember waiting for his movie premiere on Sundays. The storyline of the movies has only improved with the animation. I’d like to place this second in my favourites list.
The cartoon taking the first spot on my list is none other than “Shin-Chan”. I understand that it has many vulgar scenes and therefore the censor board took necessary actions regarding this issue. But apart from this, I had my priorities set regarding this cartoon. It always brought a smile to my face and made me laugh out loud. It lifted my mood on bad days. And not to mention the movies. The goofiness and the silliness blended to give the most unique plot but the main character Shinchan caused trouble with his stupidity.
Even though Shinchan and Doraemon top my list of favourites, I could only mention a few cartoons in this series. So here are some honourable mentions- Popeye, The Sailor, Richie Rich, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Johnny Bravo, Courage The Cowardly Dog, Oggy and The Cockroaches, Phineas and Ferb, The Looney Toons Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Pokémon, Dora The Explorer and others which I don’t quite remember now. The Indian cartoons consisted of Chhota Bheem, Thakumar Jhuli, ViR: The Robot Boy, Little Krishna, Panchatantra Stories, Roll No. 21, and others. It’s sad that I could only remember a few even though they literally made my childhood for the most part.
