While final date for the 10-day mega event has been announced, host NZCC is pulling out all the stops to make Chandigarh National Crafts Fair far more attractive and artistic this season, like never before. To achieve this mission, artisans invited from Bengal are tirelessly working round the clock to decorate the fair venue gates on the theme of "Colors of India". Watch them working in tandem, making decorative items of sorts is an experience of a kind for the visiting guests.Special attention is being given to the traditional aspect while making them
look ethnic and surreal.
Zodiac signs carved in stone on display
To make the fair more attractive this time around, some famed sculptors of the country are carving out zodiac signs in stones which will be on display during the 10-day event. It is noteworthy that last year musical instruments carved out in stones by some well known sculptors were put on display for the visiting lovers of art. However, the cynosure of all roving eyes is the fibre sculpture featuring all the twelve zodiac signs, currently on display.
Director Furqan Khan, the spirit behind this grandiose, believes that the kind of creativity currently on display here at the venue takes the craft and creativity way forward, besides instilling keenness among the new generation to know what art is all about.
Special arrangements and activity for school children
Special arrangements have been made for school children during the fair. Students sponsored and sent by the schools in the morning quiz session will avail free entry.
