Chief Justice of India Dr. Dhananjay Y Chandrachud reached Vindhyavasini Darbar on Saturday evening. As per the protocol changed at the last moment, the Chief Justice, who came by road, bowed his head at the feet of Maa Vindhyavasini and performed the puja as per rituals. After this, he saw the corridor and planted a sapling.

During this time his wife was also present. Then he left for Varanasi. Before the darshan, the district administration was busy in preparations. Tight security arrangements were also made. Tight arrangements were made for cleanliness in the temple premises, parikrama path and on the four main routes.

The Chief Justice was to arrive from Lucknow by helicopter at 3:45 pm but after a last minute change in plan, he reached Vindhyachal by road from Varanasi and after having darshan of Maa Vindhyavasini, left for Varanasi.
